Build Bridges After the Presidential Inauguration With #45stitches!

Regardless of how you feel about our new President, his presidency is happening. Hate, bigots and fear DID NOT win. They will only win if we allow it. The election left a large, gaping wound in the framework of our society, one that has permeated friendships and families. The only way to heal and move forward is to repair the damage this election and everything it has revealed within the people that inhabit this country. Let’s break the cycle of cynicism by sewing "stitches" into our communities. These stitches may:

  • be random acts of kindness
  • nice gestures to friends and family
  • volunteer work
  • a diverse get-together

I challenge everyone to create #45stitches this year to combat the anger and bitterness that has surfaced through the election of our 45th President.

I just love the idea of #45stitches. There's always a "good reason" and an opportunity to be kind, but it feels especially important now. Thank you, Heather!
