Ann Marie Patitucci

Richmond, VA

Ann Marie is a Staff Writer for 30Seconds. She is a professor, speaker, award-winning writer, and mom. She is the author of the internationally-produced bullying-prevention play "Have You Filled a Bucket Today?" and award-winning picture book "Bucket Filling Fairy." Her book and play have been adapted into a musical by professional theatre company Virginia Rep, which tours nationally. Ann Marie is a proud graduate of Le Moyne College and VCU, where she earned her MFA in 2003 and currently teaches in the Honors College. Her courses include Storytelling, Social Justice & the Arts, and Humans of RVA & VCU. Ann Marie developed the Humans of RVA program and its interdisciplinary curriculum which includes community engagement, history, storytelling, and social issues that impact the community of Richmond, VA. She is passionate about teaching, social justice, and theatre. In addition to writing, she enjoys traveling, crafting, and reading (and her book club!).
