All you need in order to make this savory autumn flatbread recipe are flour, chickpea flour, baking powder, garlic salt, thyme, pumpkin puree, vegetable oil and water. You make the vegetarian dough, let it rest for 20 minutes, cut it into pieces then fry them until they're golden. Wow!

This easy pumpkin recipe is the perfect side dish for any meal. You also can use it for sandwiches or as a fun appetizer with your favorite dipping sauces.

Here's how to make it:

  1. Combine the flour, chickpea flour, baking powder, garlic powder and dried thyme in a bowl. Whisk to combine.
  2. Add the pumpkin, 1 tablespoon of oil and water. Mix until it looks like crumbs. Pour the mixture onto a floured work surface and knead for about 1 minute or until it forms a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes. 
  3. Cut the dough into four pieces. Roll each piece into a circle. Brush both sides of the dough circles with the 1 teaspoon of olive oil. 
  4. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the flatbreads and cook until golden on both sides, about 1 to 2 minutes per side.
