  1. Put the oats, flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt into a blender. Pulse until it looks like flour. 
  2. In a bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar, white sugar, egg and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients and stir to combine. 
  3. Put by rounded tablespoons full onto cookie sheets. Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven about 8 to 9 minutes or until set. Remove and allow to cool a bit before serving.
