Nutritious Detox Smoothie Recipe: This Easy Green Smoothie May Help Boost Your Immune System

Whether you're looking to detox from over-indulging during the holidays or an over-indulgent weekend, want to lose weight or just get an energy boost as part of a healthier lifestyle, this green smoothie recipe fits the bill. After eating more brownies than I'd like to admit, I had to reboot my morning breakfast routine. That's when this smoothie recipe was born.

This easy green smoothie recipe works so well for me. Packed with the immune-boosting benefits of spinach and kale (one of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet), and the vitamins and minerals (and delicious flavors) of coconut water, banana, mango, orange, pineapple and lime, this delicious smoothie recipe is simple and refreshing to make and enjoy, any time.

  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1/2 cup kale
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1/2 banana
  • 2 cups frozen mango
  • juice of 1 orange
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple
  • dash of lime juice

Here's how to make it:

  1. Put all ingredients into a blender, and blend until smooth. I add water as necessary to help the blending process, and to make it the right consistency (it's up to you how thick you like it). 
  2. Pour into glasses and enjoy!
