My Daughter Met Bobby Brown & Declared It the "Best Day of Her Life" by Ash Benton
My daughter, Jada Hooks, has epilepsy. She has seizures every day. She still tries to work and lead a normal life. She loves music! She loves to dance! There’s one entertainer that truly stole her heart and she had one goal, one dream, and that was to meet Bobby Brown. Well, that dream came true this past weekend!
When I learned that Mr. Brown would be close by, I had to make this happen for my daughter. I drove her for eight hours (was only supposed to take 4 1/2, but traffic was horrific and she’d had three seizures) to Atlanta, Ga., to the Black Experience and Expo to meet her idol!
Mr. Brown took the time to talk with Jada, take photos with her, myself and my family, and even help with her pet turtle. Everyone was very welcoming! Bobby held her so tight and asked her how she was doing and if she’s being good. His beautiful wife, Alicia, ran to Jada, held her, looked her in the eyes and told her that she was beautiful. The meeting was so powerful!
Jada says she feels a strong connection to the singer as “he is different and so am I.” No matter what, always remember, FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS! Anything you want to accomplish, you can, no matter what disability you have.
Bobby, we are so grateful!
It was a pleasure for me to meet this beauty Jada Hooks 😘🤗
""I just like his persona," she said. "He's very different. I'm different."
