Who doesn’t love peanut butter and chocolate? Add some bananas and nuts and these sweet peanut butter banana chocolate bark bites are born. These chocolate candies are so easy to make for that little pop of sweet and crunch just when you need it!
To make these easy, low-sodium chocolate bark bites you only need five ingredients (six if you add the optional flaky sea salt). Here is what you need to gather to make these wholesome snacks: fresh bananas, natural peanut butter, semisweet chocolate chips, coconut oil and nuts. The only cooking involved is melting the chocolate chips and coconut oil together. Do allow some freezer time before you can enjoy these easy chocolate treats.
Serve these chocolate bark bites as a sweet snack or for dessert. These are a fun after-school snack for the kids or serve the cold treat on a hot summer day.

Ingredients
- 2 medium bananas, sliced
- 1/4 cup natural peanut butter, stirred
- 1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon unrefined coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon chopped unsalted roasted cashews, walnuts, almonds, pecans or peanuts
- pinch of flaky sea salt (optional)

Recipe Notes
- Don't use overripe bananas for this recipe. Save those for the banana bread!
- You can use whatever type of chocolate chips you like, from semisweet to dark to milk to bittersweet.
Here's how to make it:
- Place a piece of parchment on a dinner plate. Slice bananas and place them on the parchment with the sides touching. Put the bananas in the freezer for at least 1 hour.
- Use a spoon to drizzle the peanut butter onto the banana slices and place back into the freezer.
- Add the coconut oil and chocolate chips to a small microwave bowl. Heat on high for 30 seconds. Stir and cook for another 30 seconds or until the chocolate and oil are smooth.
- Remove the bananas from the freezer and spoon the chocolate all the bananas. Add the nuts and salt and place back into the freezer for 15 minutes.
- Break the bark into pieces. Serve immediately or place into an airtight container for three to four days in the freezer for a pop of sweetness anytime!
