Entrepreneurship Stress & Anxiety: What Are Some Ways Entrepreneurs Can Deal With All the Pressure? by Dr. Haley Perlus
Q. I am an entrepreneur and the pressure is getting to me. What are some ways I can deal with this pressure so it doesn't affect me mentally and physically?
A. As an entrepreneur, we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to perform. Make sure you keep the challenges within reach. It's good to feel some nervousness, as long as you maintain self-confidence. When you push yourself too much, too hard and too fast, anxiety kicks in and anxiety is often accompanied with self-doubt.
Also, if you are an entrepreneur that does not consistently recover each day, every day, throughout the day, you are setting yourself up for mental, emotional and physical exhaustion. Taking short bouts of recovery to move your body, listen to music, meditate, etc., can help you cope with the stressors in your life. Recovery renews your energy so that you can be more efficient and clear minded.
