Healthy Toothbrush Tips: 5 Simple Steps to a Germ-free Toothbrush

We all know that taking care of our teeth starts with good brushing every day, but good brushing requires a germ-free brush. Keep your toothbrush germ-free with these tips:

  1. Do not share it with others.
  2. Store it upright in a stand, away from other toothbrush bristles, so that it has a chance to dry out between uses.
  3. Make sure to rinse the bristles out before and after each use.
  4. Use antibacterial mouthwash to soak your toothbrush with once a week.
  5. Replace your toothbrush every three to four months unless you’ve been sick with a cold or the flu, then you’ll want to replace it right away.

So important, Margaret Steck! My husband and I were out of town recently and we couldn't remember what color toothbrush we had (we take new cheap ones every time we go out of town and just throw them away). So what did I do? Threw mine away and got a new one. That's one thing we don't share! Great tips!
