Creamy Cottage Cheese Mashed Potatoes Recipe: An Amazing Bite of Protein by 30Seconds Food

Creamy Cottage Cheese Mashed Potatoes Recipe: An Amazing Bite of Protein

Cottage cheese is having a comeback. People are adding cottage cheese to everything – from sauces to macaroni and cheese to salad dressing to guacamole – because it is a versatile high-protein food. One cup of cottage cheese contains about 25 grams of healthy protein. Not bad. Now we've added this healthy ingredient to mashed potatoes!

These easy, creamy mashed potatoes contain 2/3 cup of cottage cheese, which not only adds protein but also creaminess to the potatoes. To make these mashed potatoes you will need Yukon gold potatoes (which have a naturally buttery flavor), cottage cheese, shredded cheese and butter.

Serve these cottage cheese mashed potatoes as a side dish with chicken, beef, pork, lamb or your favorite meal. We like them with meatloaf, chicken fried steak and beef tips. You cannot go wrong.
