One-Pan No-Boil Lasagna Casserole Recipe Is Cheesy Goodness In 35 Minutes by Jan Mostrom
I love lasagna, but I don't love how much time and energy it takes for a traditional recipe. This easy one-pan skillet lasagna recipe is a weeknight dinner that comes together in only 35 minutes and is amazingly quick to prep. And oh so tasty! With only one pan the cleanup is almost as good as the recipe!
To make this cheesy low-sodium lasagna casserole recipe you will need olive oil, ground beef (the leaner, the better), dried Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, lower-sodium marinara sauce, lasagna noodles, Parmesan cheese, fresh basil, fresh parsley, part-skim mozzarella cheese and part-skim ricotta cheese.
Serve this Italian-inspired casserole for dinner with your favorite side dishes. We like hot bread on the side (always!) and a fresh garden salad with homemade salad dressing.

Recipe Notes
- Use a sharp chef knife or kitchen shears to cut the fresh basil and parsley.
- If you want a spicier dish, use spicy marinara sauce and add some crushed red pepper flakes.
- Store any leftovers covered in the fridge for up to four days.
Here's how to make it:
- Heat an oven-proof skillet on medium-high heat and add oil and ground beef. Cook until no pink remains. (If you are using higher fat ground beef omit the oil.)
- Add Italian seasonings, onion and garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper. Stir. Pour the marinara and water in and add broken noodles. Bring to a simmer, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 15 to 18 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes so the noodles don’t stick to the bottom of the pan.
- While noodles cook, preheat oven to broil with rack on second level from the top. When noodles are cooked, add basil, parsley and Parmesan. Stir.
- Top with mozzarella.
- Place skillet in oven for 2 to 3 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
- Top noodles with ricotta and serve with a bit of extra basil, if desired. Enjoy!
